ICSI is defined as assisted reproductive technology in which sperm is injected directly into the egg, therefore known as intracytoplasmic sperm injection. It involves the use of specialized micromanipulation equipments. ICSI procedure is performed with very fine instruments under a microscope.
What to do ICSI?
Indications for performing ICSI:-
• Sperm concentrations of 15-20 million/ml.
• Low sperm motility.
• Very poor sperm morphology.
• Previous IVF fertilization failure.
• Low yield of eggs at egg retrieval.
